Men should have regular health checks. See your doctor for regular medical check-ups to help you stay healthy and to pick up early warning signs of disease or illness. Cardiovascular (heart) disease, diabetes and some cancers can often be picked up in their early stages, when treatment may be more successful.

- Urine, stool, routine test.
- Vitamin B12 (must if you are a vegetarian)
- 25 (OH) Vitamin D Test
- Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA)
Chest X-ray (should be considered in chronic smokers.)
Comprehensive Eye Exam (get your eye checked if you have problems or visual changes)
Note: Above the age of 45 one should go for detailed blood and clinical check-up at least yearly. These are basic screening tests. Additional tests can be done according to one’s risk factors, family history and doctor’s opinion. About the frequency of these screening tests; one can discuss with the family physician.
