Resolution 2016. ‘Yes I Can’

It has been rightly said that you can change your life by changing your attitude. The power to bring about a revolution in your life lies in your hands- and yours alone.

It is this “Yes Attitude” that has since times immemorial brought about revolutions, changed the path of history, changed the face of the earth and most of all, made people a better version of themselves.

A well known tale in Indian mythology about “Yes Attitude” reinforces the power of “you” in “yourself”.

Arjun – a mighty Pandava – was solely focussed on being the best archer ever. They say that when he took aim at a clay-bird during his practise session, he hit the bird precisely at its eye.

“I could not see the tree, I could not see the leaves. I could not feel the heat, I could not hear the bees.”

He was so determined to succeed that he saw the goal and he made it a success.

We need to incorporate the same attitude in our life.

  • Instead of fussing over whether a morning walk will benefit us more than an evening walk, why don’t we actually go out for a walk?
  • Eating fruits and vegetables that are in your sight is better than weighing the nutrition content of exotic fruits and vegetables and eating neither.

If you want to be the best and healthiest version of yourself, all you need to do is decide!!

When people consult nutritionists, we often plot their success chart in our head, going by their attitude. Their attitude and body language is indicative of how much they are ready to put in. Are they willing to execute the diet-lifestyle chart – the way it is given, no questions, no qualms?

The answer to this question paints a picture of the future in our heads. Those who are ready to carry out the instructions, are likely to be healthier than those who have complaints and demand changes.

Seldom, however, our estimates falter. Someone gets determined over a course of time while others get lazier and eventually fade out.

It is ultimately, the power of “Yes Attitude” within our patients that brings out the end results.

You are the driver of the car on the road of your destiny. You are the one who has to swerve on dangerous roads, and speed on the smooth terrain. You are the one who has to take extra care with the speed breakers. You are the one who can throw caution to the wind, when the time comes.

The ball is always in your court, when it comes to health and well-being. It is time to say, ”Yes! I can!” and drive your car to success.

Let us resolve to never waver and keep rejuvenating our spirits with echoes of “Yes, I Can!” and let us all see a better tomorrow!
